The EU Health Policy Platform (EUHPP) is the EU-wide policy platform for health issues, which consists of an interactive tool capable of stimulating discussions and ideas on public health.
The initiative enables the sharing of knowledge and best practices on specific topics through the exchange of views, bringing together expertise in Joint Statements, the central pivot of the organisation’s modus operandi, which aims to disseminate action to a wide audience on health issues.
The EUHPP Annual Meeting on 19 April
On 19 April, the platform’s annual meeting will take place in Luxembourg, to discuss and deeply analyse the organisation’s activities.
The Joint Statements, joint declarations within the context of the 2022 thematic networks, will be presented, as well as achievements and choices made on specific topics.
After that, the 7th cycle of the thematic networks will be presented, launched in the autumn of 2022 following a call for proposals. Since then, the thematic networks have drafted their joint statements in cooperation with other health stakeholders.
Each network co-organised two or three live webinars, in collaboration with the Platform group, leading to the current situation where four EUHPP thematic networks are distributed as follows:
- DisQo – anti-discrimination and equity in health, led by the European Public Health Alliance;
- HIV, Tuberculosis, Viral Hepatitis and Sexually Transmitted Infections, led by the EU Civil Society Forum;
- Mental Health in All Policies, led by Mental Health Europe;
- Navigating Health Inequalities in the EU through Artificial Intelligence, led by the Brunel Centre on Artificial Intelligence and Action for International Health.
At the end of each presentation, there will be a Q&A round followed by panel discussions to explore future challenges in detail with representatives of the various topics. Finally, the results will be discussed, so that the strategy towards future choices can be better outlined.
