The World Congress on Public Health (WCPH) is held every two or three years by the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA).
This time the Congress is organized by WFPHA together with the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPHER) and the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (SItI) and it will take place in Rome from 2 to 6 May 2023. Parallel to the World Congress on Public Health (WCPH), there will be also the conference of the Italian Society of Hygiene (SItI). The 2nd of May 2023 there will only be the opening of SItI followed by the opening of WCPH the next day, the 3rd of May 2023.
The Congress serves as an international forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on key public health issues, contributing towards protecting and promoting public health at a national and global level.
The theme of the Congress is “A World in Turmoil: Opportunities to Focus on the Public’s Health”. It reflects the global health community’s commitment to work together in and outside of our respective fields to promote health equity and build a more sustainable and just future.
The JA NFP4Health will participate to a dedicated workshop on 5th May from 11.30 – 12.30. The thematic is focuse on: “EU4Health Programme and the role of NFPs for 2023 and beyond“. The workshop’s objective is to discuss on the importance of the role of NFPs in implementing the EU4Health Programme at the national level.
A follow – up FAQ session will be organized straight after the Workshop from 12.30 to 13.30 – “What you always wanted to ask your National Focal Point and never dared to ask”. The questions might be collected in advance in the dedicated letter box – Sala Thugga.
