The event “Project showcase – Actions on cancer across EU funds and programmes” was held on Monday 11th of December (15:00 -16:00) in Austria to inform on projects funded under various synergistic programmes such as Horizon Europe and EU4Health. The session was co-organised by the EU4Health National Focal Point at The Austrian National Public Health Institute (GÖG) and the Horizon Europe Health National Contact Point at the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
From research to implementation, the current EU financial framework provides financing options for cancer-related activities across a variety of programmes and tools. In this event, colleagues from Austria reviewed how European strategies, finances, and programmes intersect to support action on cancer, and introduced initiatives that address various aspects of cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and care.
Participants learned about best practices and received recommendations for their own initiatives, moreover they learned about exemplary projects already funded by the Mission Cancer, EU4Health and Digital Europe.
