The European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) adopted its 2024 Work Plan with a budget of over €730 million, made up of around €470 million from the EU4Health programme and around €260 million from the Horizon Europe research programme.
HERA intends to concentrate its efforts in 2024 on further enhancing the EU’s preparedness and response capacity to health emergencies, contributing to the resilient supply of critical medicines as announced in the 24 October 2023 Commission Communication on addressing medicines shortages in the EU.
