The new work programme will notably support initiatives to address mental health and global health related challenges. Actions to improve the uptake of cancer screening will receive emphasis too.
With a budget of EUR 735,8 million, the work programme for 2023 will pave the way for swift progress on actions linked to further development of the European Health Union, supporting crisis preparedness, disease prevention, health systems and the healthcare workforce, and digitalisation.
